Evening Student Tip: Network! Network! Network! You should consider setting up informational interviews and start making those important connections that will come in handy when you are ready to look for your first legal job. These will help you learn what issues are central to your practice areas of interest, and what kind of experience employers are seeking so you will know how to counter concerns about any lack of direct experience.
Are your resumes and cover letters up to date? Free of grammar and spelling errors? Formatted in a manner to be attractive to legal employers, and showcasing your skills and achievements? Make an appointment with your Career Services Counselor to go over these crucial documents, and to discuss your career goals.
