Alumni Spotlight – Andrew VanSingel ’10
Andrew VanSingel ’10 has been involved with public service work since he was a law student at Touro. He was the student leader for our bankruptcy program for two years. After graduating from Touro Law, Andrew became a Legal Services lawyer in the Midwest and currently works as an Ombudsperson for the IRS in Chicago. Andrew has done significant pro bono work during his career.
For many years he chaired the ABA Young Lawyers' Division disaster program and helped set up disaster relief teams all over the United States. Andrew is now the Chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Disaster Response and Preparedness and has been working tirelessly to ramp up the organized bar's response to the current crisis. He has already contacted Touro on numerous occasions in the past few weeks to help coordinate the national law school effort.
