Touro Law Center Dean Elena B. Langan is pleased to announce that Anastasia Hagan has been appointed as Assistant Dean for Institutional Advancement. In her role at Touro Law, she is responsible for fundraising and external relations, and for strategic oversight and management of the law school’s resource development, donor relations, alumni relations, and events to support the mission of the law center.

“We conducted a national search to identify the right candidate to fill this vital role at the law school and I am confident in Anastasia’s ability and commitment. I look forward to working with her as she joins the Touro community and begins to implement her ideas and plans for the Advancement Office,” stated Dean Langan.

Hagan joins Touro Law from Mount Sinai Health System, where she served as the Director of Development, Medical Education and Alumni Relations at Mount Sinai. In her role at Mount Sinai, she was responsible for major and principal gifts, as well as developing and implementing campaign strategies to support the medical and graduate schools of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During her tenure she successfully increased parent and alumni philanthropy, as well as managed various events and annual giving programs.

“I look forward to bringing my talent to Touro Law and working to build upon the outstanding fundraising programs and spirit of philanthropy already in place,” stated Hagan. “I am excited to meet and partner with the Board and individuals, alumni, corporations, foundations and community groups that make up the Touro community and work collaboratively with them in the years to come to increase the positive impact we can have on our students.”

Hagan will replace Assistant Dean Emerita Linda Howard Weissman who will retire after nearly 30 years of service to the law school. In the past 30 years, the law school’s fundraising efforts have increased significantly. Currently, there are nearly 80 named student scholarships. At present, the school hosts various fundraising events including an annual dinner and public interest auction as well as an annual fund campaign. The Institutional Advancement Office also secures major gifts for programs and clinics from individuals, corporations, and foundations and works with various levels of government to receive grants to support programs and students.
