- Grades are final as submitted, except for computational and recording errors. Any change of grade submitted by a faculty member due to a computational or recording error must be approved by the Dean. Grades are not subject to review or appeal. Each student will be provided with a reasonable opportunity to review with the instructor the student's examination or written assignment. When a grade is to be changed, because of a computational or recording error, the grade change request must be submitted by the faculty member by the last day of class of the full semester (i.e. fall or spring) following the semester in which the grade was earned. No grades will be changed, even for computational or recording errors, after that time.

Bar Exam Information
New York State Bar Exam
The New York State Bar Examination is given each year in February and July. The requirements for taking the New York State Bar examination and for admission to the New York State Bar are available in the Registrar's Office or from the New York State Board of Law Examiners.
The Registrar's Office certifies students' eligibility to sit for the exam based on satisfactory completion of degree requirements. Applications for the New York State Bar Examination may be completed online at the New York State Board of Law Examiners. Contact the Registrar's Office if you need assistance in completing the application. Please pay close attention to filing deadlines.
Each jurisdiction has its own requirements for admission to its bar. Some, for example, require that persons intending to practice law in those states register with a designated state office or official prior to commencing the study of law. Students are encouraged to inquire of the appropriate officials as to applicable requirements. The Registrar's Office also has available the names and addresses of officials responsible for bar examinations and admissions in other jurisdictions.
Most states require examinees to achieve a minimum score on the Multi-State Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) in addition to a passing score on the State Bar Examination in order to be considered for admission to the Bar.
Important Notice for LL.M.-FLG (Master of Laws in U.S. Legal Studies) Students:
The N.Y.S. Board of Law Examiners requires applicants seeking to sit for the bar exam under section 520.6 of the Rules of the Court of Appeals, based on the study of law in a foreign country, to submit official transcripts of their foreign law study along with the Evaluation of Foreign Academic Credentials form.
Student enrolled in the LL.M.-FLG degree program are urged to complete this process soon after enrollment to avoid any delay in the approval of an application to sit for a N.Y.S. bar examination.
