Touro Law Student Receives Scholarship from the Jewish Lawyers Association of Nassau County
November 13, 2017Touro Law full-time student Brett Potash was selected as the inaugural recipient of the Hon. Jed Orenstein Memorial Scholarship from the Jewish Law Association of Nassau County. He was awarded the scholarship at the bar association’s annual installation dinner.
Dean Harry Ballan stated, "We are grateful that the Jewish Lawyers Association of Nassau County has recognized Brett for all of his efforts. We are proud of Brett and extend our congratulations to him."
Mr. Potash, who resides in Miller Place, is the president of the Jewish Law Students Association (JLSA), Associate Editor for the Touro Law Review and is a member of the Touro Law Family Law/Matrimonial Clinic.
He stated, “This scholarship is meaningful to me not only because it helps me financially, but it is a recognition of what I do as president of JLSA and what I represent. I am honored to be the inaugural recipient of this newly created annual scholarship and proud to represent Touro Law.”
Mr. Potash plans to work in the matrimonial /family law field upon graduation in May 2018.
