Jewish Programs Committee Hosts Gershom Gorenberg Lecture on February 10

Central Islip, NY – Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center is pleased to announce that Gershom Gorenberg has agreed to speak on February 10th at 12:30 p.m. at the invitation of the Jewish Programs Committee. The topic of his speech is “The Accidental Empire: Israel's Settlement Dilemma, Past and Future.” The lecture will take place at Touro Law Center, located at 255 Eastview Drive, Central Islip, New York.

Mr. Gorenberg was born in the United States but has lived in Israel for about 30 years. For many years he was a columnist and associate editor of the Jerusalem Report. His articles have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post, The New Republic, The American Prospect, Mother Jones, Ha'aretz, and Ma'ariv. His books include The Accidental Empire: Israel and the Birth of the Settlements 1967- 1977; The End of Days: Fundamentalism and the Struggle for the Temple Mount; Seventy Facets: A Commentary on the Torah from the Pages of the Jerusalem Report; and Shalom, Friend: The Life and Legacy of Yitzhak Rabin.
