Touro Talks and the Jewish Law Institute are pleased to present a panel discussion featuring student leaders at several American universities, in conversation with Dr. Alan Kadish, President of Touro University.

SPEAKERS:

Gabriel Diamond. B.A. Candidate '24, Yale University
Gabriel Diamond is a senior at Yale University studying political science and a research assistant at Yorktown Institute. He is a Vice-Chair for Hillel International’s Israel Leadership Network and former President of Yale Friends of Israel. He has interned with the Hudson Institute and the United States Senate. His works have been published in the New York Times, The Hill, and the Jerusalem Post and he has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News.

Talia Dror, B.S. Candidate '25, Cornell University
Talia Dror is a junior at Cornell University studying industrial and labor relations, business, and legal policy. She is a student leader of the Cornellians for Israel, the campus Israel advocacy group, and vice chair of Hillel international's Israel Leadership Network. In addition to her on-campus advocacy efforts, Talia recently testified at a congressional hearing, co-wrote a New York Times article, and was featured on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.

Jillian Lederman, A.B. Candidate '24, Brown University
Jillian Lederman is the Executive Chair of the Hillel International Israel Leadership Network and a senior at Brown University, where she studies political science and economics. She is the President of Brown Students for Israel, a Research Assistant for Heterodox Academy, and former writer and editor for the Brown Political Review. She was recently published in The New York Times and has been interviewed on CNN, MSNBC, SiriusXM, and News Nation.

Marie-Alice Legrand, J.D. Candidate '24, Columbia University
Marie-Alice Legrand is a J.D. candidate at Columbia Law School (class of 2024). A German native, she holds a B.A. in History and a Master in Economic Law from Sciences Po Paris as well as a Master in Law and International Management from HEC Paris. She is admitted to the Paris Bar Association. After law school she will join the corporate practice group at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

Dr. Alan Kadish is the president of Touro University. He is also a noted educator, researcher, and administrator who is training the next generation of communal, business, and healthcare leaders.

 

Samuel J. Levine, Professor of Law, Director of the Jewish Law Institute
Professor Samuel J. Levine is the Director of the Jewish Law Institute at Touro Law Center. He is also a prolific writer, and author of Was Yosef on the Spectrum? Understanding Joseph Through Torah, Midrash, and Classical Jewish Sources.
