Mauricio Noroña is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the Immigrant Rights Advocacy Clinic at Touro Law Center. Previously, he served as a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor of Law at Cardozo Law’s Kathryn O. Greenberg Immigration Justice Clinic, where he supervised students in handling complex individual and impact cases. Before joining academia, Professor Noroña was the Supervising Attorney at the African Services Committee (ASC), where he oversaw a team dedicated to providing comprehensive legal assistance to hundreds of immigrants and asylum seekers in New York City.
Professor Noroña’s work combines clinical teaching, impact litigation, and policy advocacy on behalf of immigrant communities. His scholarship focuses on immigration enforcement and administrative discretion.
He earned his B.A. from Baruch College and his J.D. from CUNY School of Law, where he was recognized as a Haywood Burns Fellow in Civil and Human Rights.
