Taurus Myhand joins Touro Law Center as an Associate Professor of Law. He will teach courses in Business Organizations, Forensic Criminology, and Evidence. Prior to joining Touro, Taurus was an Assistant Professor of Law at Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, where he taught Evidence, Business Organizations, Products Liability, Education Law, and Trial Advocacy for Competition. He also served as a coach for the nationally recognized trial advocacy team. Before entering academia, he practiced as a Corporate Litigation Associate at Richards, Layton & Finger, P.A.—Delaware’s largest law firm—where he represented some of the nation’s leading publicly traded companies in high-stakes corporate and commercial litigation.

His primary scholarly interest lies in discussing the Federal Rules of Evidence and the novel challenges created by the rules. His secondary scholarly interest lies in analyzing the intersection of the Federal Rules of Evidence and juror conduct, jury deliberations, and jury selection. His articles have appeared in several journals, including Widener Law Review, University of Detroit-Mercy Law Review, Texas Journal on Civil Rights & Civil Liberties, Rutgers Race & the Law Review, and the Journal of the Legal Profession..

He holds a B.S. from Excelsior University, an M.S. in Criminal Justice from Troy University, and a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Legal Profession and as National Vice-Chairman of the American Bar Association Law Student Division.
