43rd Annual Commencement Ceremony to Celebrate 147 Graduates
Commencement Address to be Delivered by the Honorable Cheryl E. Chambers
May 19, 2025Touro Law Center’s 2025 commencement ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1 pm at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, NY.
The ceremony will include an address from commencement speaker the Honorable Cheryl E. Chambers, Associate Justice, Appellate Division, Second Department, New York State Supreme Court. At this year’s ceremony, 147 JD candidates will be honored including December and May graduates from the full-time, part-time, and FlexTime JD programs.
"The Touro Law community is proud of this exceptional class of graduates,” stated Dean Elena B. Langan. “Through their academic excellence, community service, and unwavering commitment to justice, they have already demonstrated the qualities that define great lawyers. I am confident they will continue to use their legal education to make meaningful contributions to society and uphold the highest standards of our profession. Their future, and the future of law, is undoubtedly bright."
Students will also hear speeches from Class Professor John R. Quinn, Assistant Professor of Legal Process, and the Ronni D. Cohen Class Orator, Joshua R. Stickell. Valedictorians and salutatorians from the full-time and part-time divisions will be honored for their outstanding achievements. This year’s valedictorians are Alexa D. Sondey for the full-time program and Rachael Giannetti and Brittany Elizabeth Harms from the part-time program. Salutatorians for the class of 2025 are Yelena Iskhakova for the full-time program and Sara R. Smith for the part-time program.
Every member of the class of 2025 has either participated in a clinic or externship and has completed at least 50 hours of pro bono service. The graduates join an influential network of more than 7,500 graduates who serve as leaders in the profession and mentors to our students.
