Touro Law Names 5 New Members to the Board of Governors

Dean Elena B. Langan is pleased to announce the appointment of five new members to the Touro Law Center Board of Governors: Norman R. Cerullo, Beth M. Gazes ‘20, Anthony P. Luckie ’13, Joel H. Robinson ’94, and Cherice Vanderhall Wilson ’09.

“I am delighted to welcome Norman, Beth, Anthony, Joel, and Cherice to the Touro Law Center Board of Governors. These distinguished professionals bring a wealth of expertise and perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission of providing exceptional legal education and fostering the next generation of ethical, skilled attorneys,” stated Dean Langan. “These new Board members are recognized leaders in their respective fields, each with a demonstrated commitment to excellence and service that aligns perfectly with Touro Law's values. Their diverse backgrounds and professional accomplishments will enrich our board's collective wisdom and strengthen our ability to navigate the evolving landscape of legal education.”

The Touro Law Center Board of Governors is a group of distinguished men and women dedicated to supporting the growth of the Law Center. The Board consists of nearly 40 lawyers and non-lawyers who are regional and national leaders in the legal, business, philanthropic and academic communities.

Norman R. Cerullo is a Partner at Ruskin, Moscou, Faltichek. Cerullo’s practice focuses on business litigation in both federal and state courts, as well as in mediations and arbitrations. His clients have included financial institutions, technology and software companies, real estate firms, government contractors, educational institutions, accounting firms, media and sports interests, and a host of other businesses and individuals in a wide array of complex matters. 

Beth M. Gazes ’20 is an Associate at Gallet, Dreyer & Berkey, LLP, practicing in co-op and condominium law. She is a board Member and Vice President of the Long Island Chapter of the Community Association Institute (CAI-LI) and served as the CAI-LI Trade Show Committee Chairperson in 2023 and 2024.  Gazes is also a member of the Advisory Board of Touro's Institute for Land Use and Sustainable Development Law. She is a volunteer attorney with the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund and Nassau Suffolk Law Services, assisting transgender individuals to effectuate name changes on a pro bono basis.  

Anthony P. Luckie ’13 is partner at the New York office of Lewis Brisbois. His practice focuses on New York State Labor Law/construction litigation and general liability matters. Luckie's prior experience includes defending premises owners and managers in premises liability litigation and personal injury matters. Additionally, he represented rental car and truck companies in motor vehicle accidents.

Joel H. Robinson ’94 is a partner and founding member of Robinson Yablon Cooper & Bonfante, LLP. He has been fighting for the rights of injured persons for his entire career. He is an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and is admitted to practice in all New York state and federal courts. He has practiced in many different states as well by being admitted Pro Hac Vice. While a student at Touro Law, he was on the Suffolk Bar Journal Editorial Board.

Cherice P. Vanderhall Wilson ’09 is Counsel to Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Hempstead. Vanderhall Wilson also maintains a solo practice focusing on family law, matrimonial law, and employment discrimination. She graduated cum laude from Touro Law Center in 2009. Her legal education included studying International Human Rights Law in China and working with the City Bar Justice Center's Elder Law Project as a Thurgood Marshall Fellow. Active in her community, she speaks at schools and community events, volunteers as a track coach for Uniondale H.S. Girls Track and Field team and is the immediate Past President of the Amistad Long Island Black Bar Association. She is the 2025 recipient of Touro Law Center’s Paul S. Miller Award.
