ABOUT:

Our sessions will cover several critical topics including New York State Animal Legislation, and discuss current and pending laws, including an in-depth session on the new Companion Animal Care Standards Act for Shelters and Rescues. We will also cover Animal Crimes and Cruelty Laws and examine the statutes and regulations addressing animal cruelty and crimes within New York State. Other topics include Animals in Entertainment and a review both local and federal laws governing the treatment of animals used in entertainment; and looking at legal and compassionate responses to the growing number of Animal Hoarding Cases on Long Island.
