This course covers selected topics in evidence law. It builds upon and extends the law covered in their Evidence course but is selective in coverage. Topics may include authentication, relevance, character, impeachment, and hearsay. Students will supplement their learning by engaging in various practical exercises to refine their understanding of evidentiary rules, such as drafting motions, preparing for client counseling sessions, and writing emails to senior partners. Students will also be confronted with ethical issues that will help them develop their professional identity. (Prerequisite: Evidence)
