Presented by the ADR Society with guest speaker: Danielle B. Shalov, Esq.
 

Danielle B. Shalov, Esq. is the ADR Administer for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  Prior to joining the Eastern District, she was the Administrator of the Mandatory Mediation Program at the Appellate Division, Second Department in New York State Supreme Court.

Before joining the Appellate Division, Ms. Shalov had a mediation practice in Westchester, New York and served as an adjunct professor at New York Law School ("NYLS") and The Elisabeth Haub School of Law ("Haub Law").  She served as the Director of the Mediation Clinic at NYLS and created and ran the Amelia A. Gould Representation in Mediation Clinic at Haub Law.  

Ms. Shalov is a mediation trainer approved under Part 146 by the New York State Unified Court System’s Office of ADR Programs for both Initial and Advanced Mediation Training.

Ms. Shalov began her career as a litigation associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP. She later joined the Law Offices of Gerald L. Shargel where she specialized in criminal law. Ms. Shalov then joined The Fund for Modern Courts, a nonpartisan, nonprofit dedicated to court reform, where she was the Director of The Citizens Jury Project.

Ms. Shalov received her BA, magna cum laude, from Kenyon College and her JD, magna cum laude, from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society and Order of the Coif.
